Vacation and adventure photography may be a new concept. You are used to being your own paparazzi with your trusty iPhone or GoPro.  A vacation is the perfect time to have a local Fernie-ite show you the gems off the beaten path.  Quality photography is an important element to keep these special memories alive……

The adventure could be mini or mighty.  It could be in your comfort zone or ever so slightly out of it.  It could be familiar or something you haven’t attempted before.

We are a husband and wife team that has 35 years combined experience guiding people on trails, rivers, lakes, rocks and mountains.  We can lead you to an unforgettably good time.  We can take care of the logistics and safety management if you don’t have the time, inclination or expertise to plan yourself.

You choose the activity, or we can help you decide; hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, canoeing, tobogganing, marshmallows over the fire, tubing the river, XC skiing or biking – there are so many options in the Elk Valley!

Another possibility is to have photos and adventures spread over 2 or 3 days during your vacation.  Maybe you plan to hike Mt Fernie one day, float the Elk River on tubes the next and end the day with marshmallows around the fire.  It’s a wonderful way to capture a more complete story.

A photo adventure is great for families.  No fuss needed with matchy-matchy clothes or perfect hair (though you can if you want!).  Sometimes family portraiture can be hard work and stressful for parents.  A photo adventure will capture the connection with the kids, give you Christmas card or wall worthy images but you get to be in the moments having fun with your family.

A photo adventure is also great for couples – surprise proposals, engagements, adventure wedding shoots, or anniversary celebrations. There is nothing quite like an adventure to showcase your connection with each other.  All with the backdrop of an epic Fernie landscape!

If you are visiting with friends or extended family, a photo adventure is a great way to ‘freeze’ the essence of your fun times together.

Our goal is to not only help you have a fabulous time on your adventure, with your special people, we also take all the hard work out getting your photos printed.  Our good intentions of getting our photos off our hard drives and into printed form is much harder than we anticipate.  And if we are honest, doesn’t happen very often.  We do the heavy lifting every step of the way and you simply enjoy the memories of your holiday, flipping through an heirloom quality photo album or smiling each day as you walk past the happy memories hanging on your wall.
